Day Trips

Adventure vacation rafting on the Salmon River near the Frank Church Wilderness Area in Idaho.

Salmon River Float Trips

We offer 1 – 2 Day Whitewater Raft Float Trips:

Don’t have time for a full wilderness adventure vacation? Don’t worry. We can give you a taste of full whitewater adventure with these day trips! Our one day whitewater rafting float trips are conducted on the Recreational or Scenic section of the Salmon river below the town of North Fork. (Located in central Idaho near the continental divide & Montana border, along the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area). The “River Road” parallels this stretch of river for 47 miles before terminating at Corn Creek Campground.

1 Day Whitewater Raft Float Trip:

The “Day Stretch” – pioneered by North Fork Guides, has exciting rapids, incredible scenery and interesting Indian and pioneer history. You’ll get it all on this one day whitewater rafting trip. Your party will have a chance to see wild mountain goats, bighorn sheep, deer or even elk. Old historic mines and a ghost town punctuate this stretch of an American wilderness river. One of the best day trips in North America! Enjoy it all: river, whitewater, beautiful days, amazing scenery, and family or friend adventure! Includes full picnic lunch and beverages.

  • 14 miles – $95.00

2-Day Whitewater Raft Float Trips:

On this rafting trip you will find some great whitewater, AND it is easy to get to! This float includes the “Day Stretch” of the Salmon River, at the end of which we find our campsite: a beautiful island in the middle of the river.  Sure to be a family vacation adventure–or a nice get-away with friends. The 2nd day continues on down river to the end of the road at Corn Creek Campground. More great whitewater rapids, and outdoor fun with your experienced guide. Since the river doubles in size at the confluence of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, this day brings bigger rapids and better fishing.  Includes old homesteads and a water fall.  Wildlife viewing opportunities are exceptional on this section.  All meals and return transportation provided.
